The rest is just common sense and common courtesy. There is only one major rule: "Frequency Control". There will be no tank inspections at the event, so every participant will be trusted to have things operational. For the sake of speeding up the action for the spectators, many of the battles will be ended by using a time clock rather than waiting for the death of the last opponent. Most conversions to stock tank kits are allowed and different styles of R/C combat are also welcomed at "The R/C Tank Convention". Other volunteers and their new ideas are eagerly welcomed. Everyone who owns a radio controlled model tank of any scale is automatically a member of "The Tank Buffs"! This year, the event is facilitated by Bob Gusek, an independent tanker from High Point, NC and Dana Lowell (H*E*A*T) of Greensboro. ![]() The event is offered by the AAF Tank Museum and facilitated by a group of volunteers called "The Tank Buffs". It is open to all clubs and individuals who wish to gather with friends to swap ideas and run their tanks in a variety of battles. ![]() "The R/C Tank Convention" is an annual hobby expo at the indoor tank battlefield in Danville, Virginia.
